Here we go again. The fuel companies and the supermarket stooge owners are getting ready to rip us off again because of their market dominance and a toothless tiger regulation and watch dog. What happened to the great saviour "fuelwatch" that went well, anyway I digress.
These great community minded citizens have warned there is going to be a rise in fuel prices based on, wait for it, the decrease of the Aussie dollar. Are you #*%@ing kidding me. Weeks ago our Aussie dollar went up to about $1.10US. Where was the decrease in bowser prices? If the justification of increasing prices is a drop in $AUS shouldn't fuel prices drop if there is an increase in the $AUS? Lets hear their slippery, carpet bagger spin doctors answer that question.
These companies continue to give it to Australians and we just keep taking it. The major supermarkets and fuel companies choked out their competition so they could do crap like this and we have no competitior to go to get a fair go. This is what supermarkets are doing with milk.
If we want fuel to come down we need to point out these lies from the fuel companies. Explain why if you raise price for decrease $AUS you don't bring prices down when it rises. It is time we made ethanol a viable industry in our state.
This blog is created to provide the people of Cairns with an alternative voice in the Cairns political scene apart from the major parties which have shown their loyalty is to their party machines ahead of the constituents of their electorate
ABOUT THIS BLOG
With a long family history that goes back many generations in this area it pains me to see the impact that government neglect is having on our area. The two major parties are simply not up to the job anymore. I can no longer sit back and watch this happen and have decided to run for the state seat of Cairns.
It is time we had a voice in parliament again, not puppets of faceless party machines from Canberra. By posting media releases on this blog the people of Cairns can determine if we have policies and concepts that they agree with.
I ask you to join me in ensuring that Cairns and Far North Queensland gets a fair go.
